Design of Experiments : To investigate the surface should and recommend a set of predictor variable values, which are intended to provide the best average response value available within the region of operability.

 

Project : Implementation of DCS for reduction of coal and limestone using AFR in cement industry

       Location : ACC Cements, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, India                                        

       Duration : Jan 2008 to April 2008

Description : This project deals with reduction of traditional fuels (coal) and raw materials (limestone) using alternate fuels.  The feeding of the fuel and raw material is controlled by DCS. My part was to learn the Yokogawas DCS software and to code the feeding of Raw materials through gates by opening and closing gates at specified time interval and also program the safety operations of the process.

 

Seminars  attended : Have participated in workshops and seminars on MATLab, PSPICE, LABVIEW and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) conducted in our college.
